1. Technological developments are deterministic in the sense that they set and transform a spectrum of pedagogical possibility. No one Knows what this spectrum is at any particular time -- personally and in manifold groups. Through The Digital Campus, we will seek to enlarge our understanding of how digital technologies are affecting the spectrum of possibility in the sphere of higher education.
2. The interlocking components that constitute a system of education as ut develops over time (The Cumulative Curriculum discussion of the effects of printing as the basis of the "modern" educational system).
3. The role of the course in shaping and limiting what people have been doing within the spectrum of possible pedagogical practice.
